Does Anyone Know The Weight Watcher Recipe For A “snicker Bar”?

January 28th, 2010 by Rexx

I got this recipe at a State College, PA weight watcher meeting in about 1989. It is driving me crazy that I can not remember it.
I do remember some of the ingredients: chunky peanut butter, oatmeal, alba chocolate shake mix, and brewed black coffee.
I remember that you made logs and put it in the freezer and that is was very tasty.
I can not remember the measurements and if there were anymore ingredients. If anyone has the recipe and point value, I would very much appreciate it!!

Does Anyone Know How To Convert The Amount Of Whole Spices In A Recipe To Equal Amounts Of Ground Spice?

January 27th, 2010 by Rexx

I have a recipe and it says to grind the spices in a coffee grinder. I have all of the spices ground already and really do not want to buy an appliance I’ll use once a year.

What Is The Exact Recipe Of Dunkin Donuts Iced Coffee?

January 27th, 2010 by Rexx

Hello everyone!
I have been attempting to make Iced Coffee at home that tastes exactly like Dunkin Donuts because I have moved from Boston to Utah and there are 0 DD within 500 miles and I am addicted to their iced coffee.
I am hoping I can get the exact technique from someone who works there that would be killer!
I would buy their brand of coffee beans from the store because that seems to be a necessary part of their flavor. right?
From what I gather the coffee is double brewed then an equal amount of ice is added right after brewing. But I get lost when it comes to how they do the sugars/syrups/creams.
Is there a specific brand of cream/sugar/syrup that they use? is it already pre-made? I think they use “Raw” or “whole” (chunky) sugar because there are some sweet chunky pieces when you drink it but I am not sure. So does anyone know the exact sugar/cream/syrup they use and the exact ratio that is added when someone orders a regular iced coffee as it comes without any extra/less added?
Extra points on this one!

At $2.69 for the big one (in TN), every day, it’s getting expensive to keep up my habit……does anyone have a recipe for anything close? Specifically what kind of coffee to use, and specific proportions!? It’s great for my morning breakfast on the run! Thanks.

What To Do With Leftover Espresso Powder?

January 26th, 2010 by Rexx

I needed espresso powder for a brownie recipe, and after 2 weeks I found some. I made the brownies, but now what do I do with the espresso powder that is left? I don’t like to drink espresso straight up and I don’t drink coffee that much anyway. So does anyone have any good recipes that call for espresso powder? I cook a lot and haven’t found many recipes that call for it.

Food And Beverage Pairing?

January 26th, 2010 by Rexx

I am planning a dessert party and want to pair some coffees and teas to the desserts. I know I want to have something chocolate with a black tea of some kind, or dark roast coffee, and a lighter dessert with say, a white tea. As you can sea I have no idea what to do. I was wondering–does anyone have any suggestions about which teas/coffees I should use and what kind of recipes to work with?? thanks.

What Foods Comes From Mixed Cultures?

January 24th, 2010 by Rexx

`Cause I know it isn’t always the case of that Food A comes from Culture A, Food B comes from Culture B, and etc.
For instance, and this is the only one that I know, is how if you want a good cup of French coffee, go to a Vietnamese coffee house.
Are they any others? Family recipes, perhaps?
