December 13th, 2009 by Rexx

I have coffee ice cream, milk, ice cubes, and half & half. Can I manage with this? What else should I add? What should I do?

    cups coffee ice cream
    1 cup milk
    1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
    Combine all ingredients in container of an electric blender;
    blend mixture until smooth. Serve immediately.
    NOTE: 3 cups vanilla ice cream and 1 tablespoon instant
    coffee granules may be substituted for coffee ice cream, if
    desired.

    I think the other day the kids and I took frozen strawberries some whip cream and some pudding instant mix then some milk to make a sort of whipped type mousse type concoction. We had alot so we did it a few times to find exactly what we liked in consistency I think we eventually added some half and half also. It was very good. It is all and all what exactly type of texture you want with it. If it is for company then I would try it out many variations and just keep the measurments recorded as you go along. if you did one teaspoon of each when you made it for company then you would bring it up to about a cup or two replacement for each teaspoon in trying it out. I would leave the ice cubes out unless you have a really good mixer and it will add water to it thinning it out. All you really need is probably some coffee and some other flavoring possibly chocolate and some icecream if you like it a bit thinner try adding the half and half or even some milk. A milkshake in general is icecream that is whipped up to a thinner consistency with some additives like candies or flavorings so it can be drank or spooned easily for eating. Your type of coffee you choose is going to affect the flavor along with how strongly brewed it is. So that is something to consider also how much flavor you want and what type flavor as all coffees have different flavors.

    you could add some instant coffee if you have it…or even a little chocolate would be good…

    Honestly I don’t think you need coffee flavor. If you have cold leftover coffee from that morning in your coffee pot add some vanilla ice cream, ice cubes and voila! D’lish! Enjoy!

    Skip the milk, ice & half&half! Just use vanilla Ice Cream, add a tablespoon of instant coffee powder/crystals & run blender until mixed. Milk ’shakes’ should merely be slightly warmer, smooth, thick, drinkable icecream!
