Im making mozzarella melts, if any body has a good recipe for deep fried mozzarella in either batter or breadcrumbs would be good, my daughter has them in the pub but they are never in supermarkets!

I agree about putting them in a ziplock bag and putting them in your fridge/freezer. My wife and I buy bread from Trader Joe’s without preservatives, and unless you keep ‘em cold, you have about two days to eat it without seeing the first signs of mold.
As for Deep fried mozzarella…
Take each slice of cheese and roll it in flour, a beat egg and panko bread crumbs with some oregano and parsely mixed in. Dip each into a hot wok with enough peanut oil to coat. Cook until golden and then put each slice on a wire rack above newspaper to wick away oil; if you put them on a paper towel, they’ll be soggy, so make sure your oil is hot and it has a chance to drip away.
It works for tonkatsu and onion rings too.

I’d say 2 days. I made the mistake to think they kept like the ones you can buy at the store and tried to save my crumbs. By the time I went back for them, they were moldy!

Instead of in a coffee jar, stick them in a freezer bag or box and freeze them, and you can just use them whenever need be.

Not long unless you oven dry them first

They should last just as long as a loaf of bread. Refrigerate them or freeze them for extended life. Also, I’d be careful about putting them in a coffee jar for fear they may pick up the coffee flavor.

put them in a sealable tin in the fridge and you should get about a week and half before they go off.
