Granny Smiths are pretty traditional for baking.
Honeycrisps work well in both baking and eating out of hand.
Braeburns will work as well. I’ve also seen people use Golden Delicious.
I prefer Honeycrisp or Granny Smith.

Granny Smith are typically a good baking apple. That’s what is used in my family’s recipe of apple pie. and according to my mom a nice crisp and sweet is the honey crisp which is also a good baking apple… ( idk on tht one.. but i ate one and loved it! )

Granny Smith is great for baking, but you can use any apple that you have on hand.

i always use granny smiths for my recipes that call for apples. they are tart and sweet and always turn out just right.
