Is There Some Way To Convert Powdered Non-dairy Creamer Into A Liquid Non-dairy Creamer?

January 15th, 2010 by Rexx

I’ve been wanting to use non-dairy creamer for recipes, and the powdered in the coffee aisle is just so much cheaper than the usual “Silk” brand in the dairy section. Is there some conversion method to make the powder into a liquid?
Thanks

to figure out the mix, start with a cup of warmish water ( not hot)
keep adding 1 tsp at a time, till it has the aprox color,
    and then taste it.
( or, it should be the point where it stops disolving and starts leaving residue in the bottom)
after that, you’ve figured out your ratio…..

try water…about 4 to 6 tablespoons to 8 oz of water…it will take trial and error….try it on something cheap and easy to make first

I’ve done it by trial and, error, LOL!!!
Add ya’ powder creamer to “boiled” H2o, to taste, stir well with either a fork or, whisk.
Reason for boiled H2o is to get as many impurities out of H2o as possible, to extend shelf life.

I use powdered creamer as the liquid in a lot of my cake frostings and mix equal parts – 1 c creamer and 1 c water. It will stay good in the fridge for a LONG time. I will admit that I haven’t put it in coffee, so it might be strong, but that just means you wouldn’t have to use as much. Good luck!
