Why Do I Keep Making The Same Meals All The Time?

i dont know why but i make the same things for breakfast,boiled egg,cornflakes and coffee and lunch and dinner i rotate with similar meals but few of them.like pasta i make 3times a week.my family never complains but i want some changes.i look into new recipes but doing a new dish looks like more work to me.i also buy new ingredients and try but end up doing the same thing.i will be going shopping tomorrow,before that i want to compile a different meal plan,please help.

    Gosh, you sound like me— I make the same meals week after week and now I’m just bored and don’t care anymore. One thing is we have kids and I hate to hear the whining and such when there is something new… I have tried new recipes which some are ok but like you had mentioned, it takes a lot of work!! I’d prefer recipes from other people who regularly makes the dish.

    Roasted Tuna with Grapefruit and Tarragon
    1 white grapefruit
    2 tablespoons minced shallots
    2 teaspoons chopped fresh tarragon
    1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil
    6 6-ounce tuna steaks

    preparation
    Preheat oven to 475°F. Grate 1 teaspoon grapefruit peel; reserve. Cut off peel and pith from grapefruit; cut fruit into six 1/4-inch-thick slices and discard seeds.
    Mix shallots, tarragon, and grated grapefruit peel in small bowl to blend. Drizzle olive oil over bottom of medium roasting pan; heat pan in oven 3 minutes. Sprinkle shallot mixture over oil. Place tuna steaks in single layer atop shallot mixture; sprinkle with salt and pepper. Roast 5 minutes. Turn tuna steaks over. Top each with 1 slice grapefruit. Roast tuna to desired doneness, about 5 minutes longer for medium.

    Casserole:- Baked Bean
    2 cans of Baked Beans (400gm)
    Diced Lean Ham Ends.
    Diced Onion.
    Worcestershire Sauce (to taste)
    Pom Poms.
    Empty baked beans into a casserole disk and add the onions.
    Dice the ham ends into 9mm cubes and add. (cooked sausage rings would do)
    Add the Worcestershire sauce (to taste)
    Taste test.
    Top with the potato Pom Poms and bake at 180C until it is all hot and bubbly. 20-30 minutes.
    Casserole:- Chicken
    Cut Chicken into bite sized pieces and brown with some garlic and onion in a little oil and transfer to casserole dish.
    Add diced Peppers and other vegetables.
    Use a can of mushroom soup as a liquid.
    Cover with bread crumbs and grated cheese and bake in a 180C for about 20 minutes until bubbling hot and the cheese has started to brown.
    Serve with mashed potatoes.
