In the early to mid 80’s, I found a recipe in “Grit” newspaper for a bread type Easter Basket. I have since lost my recipe and would like to replace it. It may have been called a coffee cake but contained yeast. You braided the dough to look like a basket and added dough “eggs” along with colored coconut for grass. All I remember is that there was honey, crushed pineapple, yeast, eggs, flour, etc. for the ingredients.

My husband was stationed in sicily from 1980-1990 with the us navy, while there he fell in love with a expresso based coffee drink referred to by the locals as cafe dopo. It’s a 2 shot thick expresso drink sometimes heavily sweetened. I am trying to find any one who can tell me how to prepare this. Also would like any expresso based drink recipes I can find. If it uses coffee beens and you can drink it i want the recipe. I am very interested in any recipes and are sicillian or italian. My husband is a true coffee lover so this year on our 5th anniversary (christmas day) I want to give him his own coffee lovers surprise including a book of every coffee recipe I can find.If anyone knows about the cafe dopo I mentioned earlier this would be the number 1 recipe

I only use tea bags and boil them and I just use a coffee creamer. The taste is alright/tolerable but I am hoping to find a perfect recipe?
Ideas are greatly appreciated!

By “traditional” I want the coffee kind, made with rum, Marsala wine, espresso, ladyfingers, and mascarpone. I know that all of these ingredients are in the traditional recipe but I don’t know how they go together or how to bake it. Links would be appreciated if you happen not to have a tiramisu recipe lying around.

Ahhh, I’ve lost mine in the past few days and was wanting to make it for New Years. All I remember is it contained instant coffee, heavy cream, bourbon and I’m sure several other ingredients. Anyone have a recipe or something similar? Thanks!

My family sometimes called it Chocolate Mini Cake. We had the recipe for years. It was made with buttermilk and a touch of cinnamon. No marshmallows. No coffee. If I remember you cook the buttermilk, chocolate, butter??? Yummy!

Okay… I know basically everyone says there’s coffee in it but I know for a fact that that is not true. If anyone who has worked there in the past could please give me the recipe it would be much appreciated.

I cut out a recipe years ago from the newspaper for this recipe but I’ve seem to have misplaced it. I know the cookies had coffee, chocolate and walnuts in them and after they were baked they were dipped in powdered sugar. Definately the best cookies I ever had!!
