Is There Some Way To Convert Powdered Non-dairy Creamer Into A Liquid Non-dairy Creamer?

January 15th, 2010 by Rexx

I’ve been wanting to use non-dairy creamer for recipes, and the powdered in the coffee aisle is just so much cheaper than the usual “Silk” brand in the dairy section. Is there some conversion method to make the powder into a liquid?
Thanks

What Is A Recipe Of Some Good Iced Coffee?

January 4th, 2010 by Rexx

Cinnamon Caramel Iced Coffee
Add the cinnamon before brewing to give this recipe spicy touch. You’ll need to stir well to blend in the caramel syrup.
Ingredients:
6 tbs ground coffee
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 cup caramel dessert syrup
Preparation:
Mix the cinnamon into your loose ground coffee and then brew a pot of coffee by whatever method you prefer. Add the caramel syrup to the cinnamon-spiced coffee, and stir well until completely dissolved. Chill through in the fridge, and serve over ice cubes, with added milk or sugar to taste. The syrup makes this iced coffee pretty sweet as it is.
Expresso CHILL
An easy iced coffee drink, that doesn’t require an espresso machine. You can make this drink in seconds. Who wants to wait on a hot summer day?
Ingredients:
2 tbs instant coffee
3/4 cup cold water
1 cup ice cubes
2 tbs sugar
Preparation:
Combine everything in a blender, and blend until smooth.
Iced Rasberry Chocolate Cappucino
A light iced cappuccino with a chocolate and bright raspberry taste. Ok, it’s not a true cappuccino, but you could also make this recipe with espresso if you preferred.
Ingredients:
1/2 oz chocolate syrup
1/2 oz raspberry syrup
1/2 cup strong coffee, chilled
1 cup milk
Preparation:
Pour the chocolate and raspberry syrups into the coffee and stir well, to dissolve the syrups. Mix in milk. Pour over ice cubes and serve.
If you find that the syrups don’t blend in the cold coffee, try using hot coffee to start and then chill after mixing.
If you want more, look at the link below. These were some that I have tried before and loved.

Anyone Know Where I Can Get Some Simple Ceramic Pots De Creme Pots?

January 2nd, 2010 by Rexx

If anyone has the “Savoring Desserts” cookbook by Williams-Sonoma – theres a recipe for Coffee Pots de Creme on page 25. What I want to know is where I can get those pots. I’ve only been able to find one site that sells them and the only ones that were close had a Lions head on them and I dont like those. Anyone have any ideas or know of where I can get something like that? Thanks!!
